TOOLMAKER – Permanent – Listowel, Kerry

In its cleanroom facility, the company performs silicone and injection moulding as well as automated assembly, with production lines operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The company is an ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 accredited company.

Reporting to the Toolroom Manager, this position involves the repair and maintenance of all the company’s multi-cavity injection moulds in a busy toolroom environment. The toolmaker works closely with the Production Department on both routine mould maintenance and troubleshooting on an as-needs basis. The ideal candidate will be a time-served toolmaker with a strong mechanical aptitude.

In addition, a qualification and experience in CAD is necessary.

An organised and structured approach to the job is essential, with precision and attention to detail being an integral part of this role. The candidate must have the ability to operate precision toolroom equipment such as lathes, milling machines, surface grinders and cylindrical grinders.

The individual will have a strong work ethic and will have the ability to prioritise work in a very busy environment. Remuneration is dependent upon qualifications and industry experience.
