The Jobs Expo is coming to Galway this Saturday. It is one of Irelands largest recruitment and career events. Over 40 companies will be in attendance this weekend. It is the perfect opportunity to meet with employers and recruitment experts to discuss available job opportunities, gain valuable career advice and insights into the latest industry news.

CREGG Recruitment will be at the Jobs Expo to discuss the latest job opportunities available. We will be highlighting the exciting job opportunities available in the following sectors: Engineering, Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, Accountancy & Finance, IT, Marketing, Supply Chain, HR and Customer Service & Languages.

You can also find us at the Career Desk on the day where a member of our team will be available to provide you with expert career advice including CV & Interview tips, industry insights and much more.

To make the most of your day at the Jobs Expo, we have prepared the following simple tips:

Where/When?

Jobs Expo Galway is on from 10am – 4pm Saturday 24th of February in the Galmont Hotel & Spa (formerly the Radisson Blu Hotel). You can view the location here via Google Maps.

What to Bring?

Make sure to bring a up to date CV and plenty of copies. Please make sure that your contact details are on the CV including, Name, Email and Phone Number.

How to Prepare?

Check out JobsExpo.ie and make a list of the companies that you wish to speak with first. Research the companies that you are interested in meeting.

It is always useful to prepare a short introduction when speaking to employers. A 30-second elevator pitch is a great way to give the employer an overview of your skills and experience.

Network

Job fairs are all about networking and Jobs Expo is no different. You are building a network with the recruiters and employers at the event. It is important to get their contact details to remain in touch. You should also try to connect with them on LinkedIn to keep an eye on the latest jobs or announcements.

Don’t Forget to Follow Up

Follow-up with all key recruiters/employers that you interact with. It is surprising how few jobseekers actually take the time to follow-up their career fair interviews. A follow-up email or call can give you the edge over the many others who do not.

Keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages for updates on the day.

Be sure to visit CREGG Recruitment at Stand #1 at the Jobs Expo this Saturday.

We look forward to meeting you!
